Who and what is eGive?
|
eGive is a service that was set up in 1998 by Environment Projects Australia (EPA) (which was at that time called Earth Share Australia) and is still owned by EPA.
EPA is a tax-deductible foundation the aim of which is to raise funds for and provide services to non-profit organisations. It's principal goal is environmental but it supports the non-profit sector generally. All funds processed by eGive are paid into a bank account and distributed to the recipient organisations on a monthly basis.
The management of eGive is undertaken separately by the Avalon Trust. This trust is a private trust which was set up by one of the director's of EPA, Chris Harris, and which provides environmental services. Management of eGive is undertaken on a largely pro-bono basis by the Avalon Trust.
